He served as President of UMB Bank and as Vice President of Commercial Lending at Jefferson Bank until his retirement in 2013. He was actively involved in numerous community organizations. Survivors include his wife, Sharon


LePage; one daughter; two step-daughters, extended family, friends, and colleagues.


Darlene Gerlach ’87, Jefferson City, MO. July 6, 2015. Geriach received her M.Ed. in Counseling and Personnel Services from Lincoln and worked as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor for 28 years. She is survived by three daughters and extended family.


William Norman Jr. ’90, Jefferson City, MO. September 15, 2015. Norman taught at New Bloomfield and Fulton schools. He was preceded in death by his wife Vicki. Later he married Debbie Norman who survives him, as well as a son and daughter, one step son, three step daughters and extended family.


Clarice E. Rockers Benke ’93, Lexington, VA. August 2, 2015. Benke earned her degree in business administration from LU in 1993. She was a pre-school teacher. She is survived by her husband, three children, extended family and friends.


Chrystal Pride Davis ’94, Kansas City, MO. September 11, 2015. Davis graduated with a degree in criminal justice. She is survived by her family and friends.


Irvin F. “Butch” Whittler Jr. ’97, Columbia, MO. August 11, 2015. Whittler was the president of his graduating class and was an active 4-Her at county, state and national levels. He was the first black 4-H Club President in Missouri.


Whittler received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Lincoln University. He was an educator for 21 years, and received the 2001 NAACP Teacher of the Year Award. Aſter retirement, he worked with the Missouri State Teachers’ Association until his death. Whittler is survived by his wife, Kay; a daughter; extended family; friends and colleagues.


Kelley Sue Sturgis ’97, Jefferson City, MO. February 18, 2015. Sturgis earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Lincoln University, where she taught mathematics for 15 years. Sturgis is survived by her husband, Paul; her parents; extended family; friends and colleagues.

Linda Terrell Antwine, Kansas City, MO. October 6, 2014. Antwine received her degree in English from Lincoln. She was a charter member of the Kansas City branch of Sigma Gamma Rho –Psi Sigma Philos. Antwine is survived by her husband, six children, 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.


Donald J. Dulle, Jefferson City, MO. May 26, 2015. Dulle attended Lincoln University. He was the owner/ operator of Jefferson Body and Frame Works. Dulle is survived by two sons and extended family.


Margaret Early, Kansas City, MO. April 25, 2015. Early completed her nursing degree at Lincoln University. She was employed at the VA Hospital in Kansas City for 18 years. She was preceded in death by her husband and is survived by a host of friends.

Dorothy Jane Even, Westphalia, MO. July 6, 2015. Even received her GED from Lincoln University and her LPN from Nichols Career Center. She worked as an OB nurse in St. Mary’s Hospital. Even is survived by two daughters, four sons and extended family.


Gregory Hammen, St. Louis, MO. November 4, 2014. Hammen earned his degree in education from Lincoln University and his master’s degree from the University of Missouri. He taught in St. Louis, Jamestown, New Bloomfield and Columbia Missouri. He was the principal of Monroe Elementary in St. Louis. Hammen is survived by his mother, extended family, friends and colleagues.


Florence Jackson, Fayetteville, GA. August 9, 2015. Jackson was an alumna of Lincoln University, Girl Scout leader, and an avid tennis player, who devoted her life to serving others. She is survived by her husband, a daughter, extended family and friends.


Sheila L. Livingston, Kansas City, MO. October 8, 2014. Livingston attended Lincoln from 1970 – 1972. Livingston worked at the Social Security Administration for 33 years until her retirement. She is survived by her daughter and extended family.


Leslie Schulte Dean, Jefferson City, MO. July 7, 2015. She attended Lincoln University and was a teacher at the Special Learning Center. Dean is survived by her son, extended family, friends and colleagues.
