NEW WELLNESS AND PARKS MULTI-PURPOSE CENTER CONTRACT AWARDED
Lincoln University and Jefferson City Parks and Recreation have awarded Sircal Contracting with the construction contract for the University Wellness and Parks Multi-Purpose Center. The new center will overlook the Dwight T. Reed Stadium football field and track.
It will include basketball/volleyball courts, an
elevated three-lane walking track, classrooms, meeting rooms, concessions and fitness areas. The contract, including base bid, alternates and negotiated revisions is $11,569,803. Construction is slated to be substantially complete by January 30, 2017.
The new Frank and Billie Railton Center will open its doors to the children of the Capital City Boys and Girls Club. The new center will be in development at the same time as the Wellness Center and is also slated for completion in January, 2017. Both facilities were designed by The Architects Alliance so their design plans are complementary. Both facilities will be accessed from Lafayette Avenue. Read more on page 16
