Dr. Paynter is a Family Medicine physician and cares for patients at the SSM Health Medical Group Family Medicine clinics in Tipton and Versailles, MO. Dr. Paynter is a 2007 graduate of Lincoln University with a

degree in liberal studies. He graduated from Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He completed his medical degree as well as a master of science at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. As a resident physician he served on the boards of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons and the Missouri Society of American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. Dr. Paynter grew up in Eldon and is pleased to return home and

give back to the community that has supported him for so many years.

“We are excited to have Dr. Paynter return to his roots and join

SSM Health Medical Group,” says Brian Barry, Regional Vice- President, Ambulatory Network. “We look forward to being able to serve both our current and future patients in Morgan and Moniteau counties.”

Dr. Paynter said, “I love

family medicine because it allows me to care for people in many different aspects: body, mind, and spirit, as I was trained in my osteopathic medical school. I became a physician because I felt that this is where God called me to serve. Despite all of my training, my ability to care for people has first been given to me by Him. Nothing is more beautiful than seeing a community rally around one of its members when there is trouble, which is what a small town exemplifies.”
