Wendall Gene Parker ’58, Plano, TX. December 4, 2015. Parker served in the United States Army, retiring aſter 27 years as a Lieutenant Colonel. He is survived by his daughter, three sons and extended family.


Fern Pendleton ’61, Iberia, MO. September 6, 2015. Mrs. Pendleton received her master’s degree from Lincoln University. She taught for 37 years, including one room schools in Washington and Liberty. Pendleton is survived by a son, two daughters and extended family.


Marilyn Enyard Hunter ’65, Chicago, IL. September 18, 2015. Hunter graduated from Lincoln University with a degree in elementary education. She earned her Masters of Arts in Education from the University of Illinois, Carbondale. Hunter worked for the Chicago Public Schools as a 4th grade art teacher and retired aſter 30 years of service. She is survived by her son, extended family and friends.


Janet “Turtle” Nelson ’71, Omaha, NE. July 20, 2015. Nelson is survived by her son, extended family and friends.


Jerry W. Curtit ’72, Jefferson City, MO. July 7, 2015. Received a bachelor’s degree


in criminal justice from LU. Curtit was employed for over 30 years with the Missouri Department of Corrections. He is survived by his wife, one son and three daughters.


Samuel Arthur Duncan ’73, Kansas City, MO. May 17, 2015. Duncan served in the United States Army before graduating from Lincoln University and later served as the President of its Kansas City Alumni Chapter and President of the Lincoln University Alumni Association. He was the owner/operator of Sam Duncan Insurance. He worked with Kansas City Parks & Recreation Department until his retirement. Duncan was a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, one son, extended family and friends.


James Schwieterman ’75, Jefferson City, MO. August 26, 2015. Schwieterman was a Utilities Auditor with the Missouri Public Service Commission for 26 years prior to his retirement. He is survived by his wife, two brothers, two sons and three grandchildren.


Paula K. Hanauer, California, MO. October 23, 2014. Hanauer graduated from Lincoln with a teacher’s certificate in home economics and history. She is survived by a daughter, two sons and extended family.


Ruby Parker, Las Vegas, NV. July 30, 2015. Initiated into Delta Sigma Teta Sorority, Inc. at Lincoln University, Parker completed her degree in accounting. She held several positions


with the State of Illinois and served as an active member of the United States Navy in the 1990s during Desert Storm.


Susan M. Eggen, ’78, St. Martins, MO. June 26, 2015. Eggen received her bachelor’s degree from LU in 1978. She was employed by the MO Healthnet Managed Care Program. Eggen is survived by seven siblings, nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.


Donna M. Colding ’80, Kansas City, MO. She was a native of Rhode Island. Colding earned and a bachelor’s degree in sociology and mass communications from Lincoln University and MBA from Rockhurst College in 1994. She worked with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, for 22 years and was the founder of the City’s Small Business Program. Upon retirement, Donna started her own company dCm Consultants, LLC. She is survived by one son, two daughters, extended family and friends.


Herman F. Hanger ’86, Holts Summit, MO. September 13, 2014. Hanger received his bachelor’s degree from LU in 1986. He was the owner/ operator of Trans Am Trucking in Kansas and Callaway Carriers in Kingdom City. He is survived by his wife, three sons, a daughter, extended family and friends.


Edward “Ed” Reser, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and longtime Jefferson City resident. October 28, 2015. He received his master’s in finance from Lincoln University in 1986. Reser’s entire career was devoted to the banking industry.
