video that won my acceptance into the show.” Academically and
athletically giſted, Spencer isn’t one to shy away from the pressures of being a student athlete. “It comes down to time management. I’m a full-time student and athlete who is not afforded the same amount of time as your traditional student to complete assignments. It’s refreshing to have an academic program that pushes us on the court and in the classroom,” says Spencer, who has a 4.0 grade point average. Abigail Baldwin ’20 A Truly Non-Traditional Student
Meet Abigail “Abby” Baldwin of Eugene, Missouri, a truly non- traditional student. She’s a first year student and a recipient of the Alumni Affairs Scholarship. She’s carrying 20 hours with dual enrollment at Lincoln University and State Technical College of Missouri. Her focus is agribusiness. Abby says she has always known she would have a career in business, but her involvement in FFA during high school helped her develop a passion for agriculture. She decided to combine the two fields she enjoys the most.
Abby is focused on completing her degree with a high GPA
and minimal debt. During high school she earned 24 hours of credit from Central Methodist. In addition to a significant academic load, she is holding down a job to help with her expenses. She’ll finish her BS degree in four years (or less). In the meantime, she’s on the road traveling between both schools. We look forward to her great future success.
