At home, he’s been surrounded by support his whole life. His par- ents, Angela and Chad, have always been there, giving him every opportunity to chase what he loves. And then there are his three older brothers, Will, Masan, and Simon, who helped shape his com- petitive edge. “We all played sports and pushed each other to be the best we can be,” he said.
That same sense of support carries over into the Fatima commu- nity. Whether it’s a packed gym or just people showing up for one another, it’s something Stuecken has grown to appreciate. “Seeing people come together for a common cause has inspired me to give volved. “They help you recover after a bad play and pump you up after a good one,” he said. It’s those little moments, the noise, the energy, the shared excitement, that stick with you. Over the course of his career, Stuecken has had plenty to be proud of. He’s been part of four straight district championship appearanc- es in basketball and set a school record for blocks in a single season. But if you ask him what stands out most, it’s not a stat line or a trophy. “I’m truly grateful for all the memories I’ve made with my teammates,” he said. Outside of basketball, he’s stayed involved in golf, the A+ Program,
and Pep Club, continuing to stay connected to his school. And he’s not done yet; he’s hoping to help Fatima’s golf team make history
Go Team!
“Sports have taught me to work hard, value
friendships, and not take things too seriously.”
Looking ahead, Stuecken plans to attend college and study busi- ness. Like a lot of athletes, he knows the playing days won’t last forever, but the lessons will. “Sports have taught me to work hard, value friendships, and not take things too seriously,” he said. When it’s all said and done, he’s not too worried about records or recognition. If anything, he just hopes people remember how he carried himself. “I hope I’ve inspired people to do their best and not worry so much about what others think of them,” he said. That kind of impact tends to last a lot longer than anything that shows up in a box score.
