and that winning a basketball game is the toughest situation they will face,” said Voss. “But we all know that is not how life works. Each one of these players will have trials and tribulations in life that will far exceed what the last four years have put them through. My hope is that they can reference back to these times to help them push through whatever will come their way.” To play for this close-knit St. Elizabeth community is special. It’s not just the families of the players who come out for the games, both regular season and postseason. Everyone in town is a part of this school’s pride in athletic and academic success. St. Elizabeth also has a state championship in Scholar Bowl. The Hornets win at everything. “The community of St. Elizabeth means a lot to our team. They show up and support us no matter what,” said senior guard Allie Williams. “Seeing so many people from our town come to our games and support us gave so much more motivation to go out there and do our thing.”
