Coach Law was named Coach of the Year for her conference eight were long gone.
Coach Law! Do you remember me?’ That means a lot to me. Kids remember me!”
Iberia baseball coach Tim Vinson has worked with Law for 17 years, and he will take over as athletic director upon her retirement. He said the success people see across their programs didn’t hap- pen by accident.
“Success came from the standards she (Coach Law) set and the way she supported coaches and kids every single day. She came to me just as my 8th-grade year was ending and asked me to play in her summer league. I told her I didn’t know how, hadn’t played any sports, and was already working. By the end of that summer, I fell in love with that sport. She took a girl going down the wrong path of partying at a young age and coached/molded/mentored her to fall in love with the game of softball. By my sophomore year in high was a junior and senior, I was the captain of the team,” Sherrice Farrow said.
Sherrice isn’t alone. Everyone in Iberia knows who Coach Law is. Law said it’s a great feeling when a former athlete still knows her. “To this day, I can be out somewhere, and someone will say, ‘Hi
