 An instru-  Jays, Scott has helped local soccer grow exponentially from the time he graduated as a high school player in 1993 until his retirement from teaching and coaching in 2026.


Most people know Scott’s background: graduated from college and helped start the Camdenton Soccer program, giving up the head  tant and eventually be his successor as only the second boys soccer coach in the last 30 years. Scott helped grow the Capitals Club Soc- cer (plus its growth into United Capital City), coaching many teams and helping as the director of coaching. Scott has helped hundreds of players make it to the collegiate game or help launch coaching careers themselves.


“In a lot of ways, this was my dream job. I’m an alum. I’ve had an opportunity to lead the programs I was a part of. This was the gig I always wanted,” Blake said.
