“It’s my reminder that I am playing for Him, not for anyone else,” Addie said. “Colossians 3:23 has become my favorite verse: “Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people.” It reminds me to play with joy and gratitude in my sports.”

The stu- dents raised money to purchase and pack 15 shoeboxes to send to children in need around the world, along with the message of the Gospel of Jesus. “My favorite memory is when we all joined to have hot dogs and s’mores on Saturday night,” remembers Jaden, a senior volleyball player. “That night, I had the opportunity to share my testimony, and  moving to see all the high school students joining together in song with the same purpose of worshiping the Lord. The Russellville FCA meets on Friday mornings, alternating be- tween the high school and junior high each week. Students lead, with the help of coaches Tim Rulo, Chris and Rachel Brizendine, The- resa Pistel, Nik Ferri, and Matt Witt, who have played a strong part in helping this organization grow. Local churches have also worked to encourage their youth to be


involved in FCA. Russellville Baptist, Corticelli Baptist, Mt. Olive Bap- tist, and Cole Springs Baptist have been supportive through prayer and donations to FCA programs. As with so many things in Russell- 
