County Health and Human Services Center” Te new Placer County Health and Human Services Center is a pinnacle of community transformation, architectural innovation, and a catalyst for positive change. Tis state-of-the-art facility not only enhances service delivery, promotes
environmental sustainability, and supports economic viability, but it also focuses on infrastructure, social empowerment, sustainability, and inclusivity. Te center aims to create a lasting impact that benefits both current and future generations, setting a robust foundation for continued growth and well-being in Placer County. Powering through a myriad of global challenges, the Turner + AC Martin design-build team, together with the County of Placer, persisted with a mindset of trust and collaboration with senior leadership committed to the success of the project. Te Center represents the County’s first zero-net-energy facility, incor- porating a wide range of sustainable practices into its design and construction. Delivered within an adjusted budget that accounted for additional scope
and with a strong safety record, the project exemplifies how to successfully navigate complex challenges through innovative design-build practices. Also selected as finalists in this category were: Bogard Construction for “Live
Oak Health & Housing Campus,” Hensel Phelps for “University of California, Riverside School of Medicine Education Building,” and Swinerton Builders for “4930 Directors Place.”
