Health Shared Services Center Project” Royal Electric played a key role in the successful delivery of a 92,000-square- foot pharmacy fulfillment center for the University of California, Davis. Te Royal Electric team worked closely with the owner, general contractor, and other stakeholders to overcome an array of challenges on this critical pharmaceutical distribution facility. Tey utilized advanced prefabrication techniques, strong leadership, and strategic collaboration to recover lost time on the project, overcoming an 11-month owner-initiated delay to the start of the project due to lease negotiations. Royal’s prefabrication capabilities enhanced field productivity and min- imized onsite activity durations. Te use of underground stub racks with pre-installed elbows and risers as well as large premade sections of under- ground ductwork greatly increased on-site productivity. Te company’s ability to pivot and brainstorm alternative solutions and leverage industry relation- ships to expedite long lead materials played a significant role in overcoming obstacles and allowed Royal to deliver this state-of-the-art facility ahead of schedule and within budget. Also selected as a finalist in this category was ISEC for “Mission Rock.”
