Center and Welcome Center” Originally built by Otto Construction, Fairytale Town has been a community treasure and source of family entertainment for Sacramento since 1959. Tree generations later, Otto Construction returned to Fairytale Town to expand the park with the construction of the new Story Center and Welcome Center. Te Fairytale Town Story Center consists of a children’s indoor play ac- tivity/exhibit area, community room, staff meeting room and storage. Te new administration building contains a box office, administration offices, gift shop, and restrooms. Te 34-foot clock tower draws the public in through the park’s new main entrance. Inspired by traditional English cottage villages, the new buildings add to


the park’s whimsical setting – but required a high degree of craftsmanship and precision work. Public safety was paramount, as Fairytale Town remained open throughout construction. To make this dream a reality, Otto and its trade partners donated time and materials, helping create a happily ever after finish to this visionary community project. Also selected as finalists in this category were Clark Construction for “Sea-


World Artic Rescue Roller Coaster” and Swinerton Builders for “Air Canada SFO Maple Leaf Lounge.”
