Meet Kate Hackmann, a senior at Calvary Lutheran High School who can’t seem to get enough of music. 

 “Success for music does take lots of practice, determination, adapt- ability, help and support from others, and lots of discipline, but some- times it simply just takes being able to take a deep breath and keep going no matter how bad something is, because you still love it.”  While continuing her pursuits in music, she is willing to pass along

 Symphony of the Magic Dragon Youth Program. She also gives pri- vate lessons to a student and Calvary Lutheran’s secretary. “I am trying to set an example for everyone that I am around in music groups and competition. Always being positive and helpful has been how I show this example, because helping people is what I do, and people can usually provide their own negativity, so cheering for others so that they can have some positivity is something that I always make a point of.”  “Putting your heart into something will always touch someone, so put heart into everything that you do, and you will always brighten many people’s day.”
