Football is the ultimate team game. “I love that football is very “role-oriented,” allowing everyone to buy into the part of the system that makes the team work. The larger roster size of football, along with the variety of skills that are need- ed, makes football a great place for kids who may not feel like they  Rulo was raised in St. Louis. He played football, basketball and baseball at Lutheran South High School. A linebacker and running back in football, he went on to play a year of college football at Washington University. Following his South Callaway days, he had coaching stops at Helias Catholic and Chillicothe before coming to Russellville. Rulo has also coached basketball and track along with strength and conditioning. He’s taught government, geography, American history, world history, physical education, leadership and health. He’s passionate about coaching and teaching, but even more so about his family and faith. “I feel like coaching is my ministry,” Rulo believes. “It is something I believe I was called to do. In that, my faith is central to guiding me and giving me strength and humility in celebration and in challenges. I also have a lot of support at home from my wife, Anne, and my children. We know this is a family mission and that what we are doing and the hours we are spending are about more than the sport.”

Anne and Tim Rulo just celebrated their 19th anniversary. To say

every coach needs a strong support system is an understatement. To say Anne has been a great supporter to Tim might also be an understatement.  coaching so that she would be aware of the commitment of coach- ing.
