Featured Athletes /// Tate Twins, Lincoln University

Story By: Chris Rogers, II Photography By: Lincoln University

For twins Isaiah and Israel Tate, brotherhood is invaluable. Isaiah is a quarterback for the Lincoln Blue Tiger football team. Is- rael lines up out wide, catching passes from the man he has shared his entire life with.

“It is amazing. Not a lot of people get to experience playing college football with their brother. It's the best thing ever,” Isaiah says.  ing the amount of chemistry we have built over the years is some- thing that doesn’t come by often,” says Israel.  Dean’s List and are on Lincoln’s Strada Scholar Leadership team. Isaiah got a college opportunity down south. “We had it in mind, but we didn’t fully know it was going to happen.

I originally started at North Alabama but eventually transferred to Lincoln,” Isaiah explains.

The brothers always had a dream, and they’re happy it came true in Missouri. “We have always wanted to continue to play together, but we know the world sometimes doesn’t work in that way. To be able to play with him again is a blessing,” Israel expressed. Their recruitment processes showed that Lincoln University was

the obvious choice. 

“Lincoln showed me the most love during my recruitment process.” For Isaiah, he went to North Alabama after high school, and a year later, Lincoln was waiting for him.

“Lincoln chose me, and the way Coach Harper showed interest. Also, my brother was here.” They both love the idea of playing alongside someone they know
