“I hope the underclassmen see the way I lead and carry that into their junior and senior years,” Talbot said. “I also want to inspire the younger girls at our softball camp so they love the game as much as I do. I don’t know what I’ll do when I’m not coached by them anymore. a positive atmosphere that makes me want to get better every day.”

That noise helped us never give up. It was a close game until the end.” Her athletic resume is impressive: three-time all-district, two-time all-region and all-conference honors in softball, plus multiple all-con- ference relay titles and record-breaking performances in track. “I want to focus on the mental game, like staying hyped after an error or a strikeout,” Talbot said. “I also want to break 30 stolen bases this year. Last year I had 29.”
ends, Talbot knows the lessons and friendships will carry her forward. “Sports have introduced me to so many amazing people,” Talbot said. “I’ll always have my teammates and coaches to lean on.” Her legacy, she hopes, will be one of leadership, passion, and of course, energy.
