MOVING MOUNTAINS
Honoring Our Industry’s Best
BY PETER TATEISHI, CEO C
onstruction has and always will be vital to the success of California. Every day our members work to
build and strengthen our state to bring about a better tomorrow. The work we do is not easy. It is both challenging and rewarding. Every person and every industry can dream, but only a select few can actually create. We in construction are creators. We are the doers who take dreams and make them realities. We see the possibility in everything through innovation and creativity. AGC of California understands that as an industry, we lead. We innovate. We seek solutions to challenges and make meaningful and measurable impacts to the world around us. It is because of your efforts every day that we created our an- nual awards program, which recognizes the achievers and builders who create and realize dreams. AGC of California’s Achievement Awards and Constructor Awards set the gold standard for the very best construction has to offer. Our Achievement Awards recognize the leaders within construction who sup- port our industry and have made signifi- cant advances in growing our workforce and building our state. Our Constructor Awards recognize the very best in the way we build – and in what we create. Tese

winning projects improve the quality of life in all of our communities and show the kind of innovation that our industry brings to California every day. Construc- tion embodies the Man of La Mancha quote, “I come in a world of iron to make a world of gold.” It is why our industry is worth celebrating and why we take time to recognize construction’s ingenuity and progress through our awards program. In February, we honored those dream-
ers and creators at our annual Awards & Installation Gala, presented by Procore. Read more about the recipients of these prestigious awards throughout this issue. We would like to congratulate all of
our finalists and award winners from this year’s program and commend their efforts as creators and doers in building our communities and improving our quality of life. All people who choose construction deserve recognition for their efforts and, at AGC of California, we celebrate you and the work you do to realize the future of California and the California dream.
