Mark Whitson Named DPR Construction President DPR Construction recently announced the appointment of Mark Whitson to the po- sition of president, working alongside CEO George Pfeffer to “guide DPR’s shared lead- ership team and the organi- zation into the future.”
Whitson Pfeffer According to a recent release by the company, shared leadership
enables DPR to prioritize key markets and operations, enabling better overall project performance—whether it’s a small-scale tenant im- provement or large-scale new construction—for some of the world’s most progressive and admired customers. “At the core, our success and ability to build great things are team
driven,” said Whitson. “We all play a critical part in the delivery of projects, and our proven model of shared and focused leadership exemplifies our collaborative spirit that helps build raving fans both internally and externally.” Whitson began his career at DPR in 2001 after graduating from Pur- due University’s Construction Engineering & Management Program, working with an SPW crew in the field as a carpenter. He transitioned to a project engineer role and continued to develop and grow his expertise and capabilities, ultimately leading multiple project teams in complex renovation, ground-up healthcare, and mission critical projects. In 2013, he became a business unit leader for DPR and in 2015 expanded his responsibilities to lead the Southeast region before transitioning to a broader role focusing on DPR’s core construction business.
