CREATING a Cohesive Vision of FEDA’s


s FEDA’s new education program manager, I have much to learn about the foodservice equipment and supplies sector. But one fact has already become clear: FEDA members are incredibly generous with their time and eager to support one another and the broader industry. I joined the association at the beginning of March, just as several new initiatives were gaining momentum. The Future of Distribution Council (FDC), which consists of representatives from distributor and manufacturer companies, has been diving into how the industry may change in the coming years and where there are opportunities to get ahead of those changes through collaboration in critical areas such as supply chain optimization. At the same time, the Emerging Dealers Council (EDC) is exploring how smaller dealers can strengthen their operations, identify new markets and elevate services to lift their companies to the next level.
