Carly Kade Equestrian Novelist Author

by MIRIAM LUCERO photography by SHELLEY PAULSON PHOTOGRAPHY

C

arly Kade, you’re the Author of “In the Reins,” “Cowboy Away”, and “Show Pen Promise”. Would you share with our readers, the synopsis of each Novel?

This book series was definitely written with horse lovers in mind (no matter which

discipline they ride). The horses play as much a leading role as the human characters. I have found that my readers are just like me — horse crazy, book crazy, and crazy for handsome horse trainers.

My book series appeals to older young adults and adult readers of fiction. It is appropriate for both. Passionate, captivating, and full of equine epiphanies, the goal of my equestrian romance trilogy is to touch a reader’s inner cowgirl.

The books are perfect for poolside reading or taking to the beach.

About In the Reins A city-girl-gone-country, a handsome cowboy and a horse meet by fate on a southern farm. She’s looking for a fresh start and unexpectedly falls for the mysterious cowboy. But can a man with a deeply guarded secret open himself up to the wannabe cowgirl in the saddle next to him?

Deeply romantic and suspenseful, In the Reins captures the struggle between letting life move forward and shying away from taking the reins. Passionate, captivating, and full of equine epiphanies, this is a love story sure to touch your inner cowgirl.

About Cowboy Away Cowboy Away, the sequel to In the Reins, follows horse trainer McKennon Kelly as he hits the road with nothing but his memories, a pistol and hope to put his demon to rest. He’s a cowboy caught between his present and his past who learns that sometimes one has to go backwards in order to go forward.

In the follow-up to In the Reins, readers start exactly where the first book left off, take a deep dive into the history of the Green Briar gang, meet some new characters, and follow the enig- matic Quarter Horse trainer into his tumultuous past.
