I grew up in Donkey Acres in a double wide trailer surrounded by horse property, it does not get much better than an Arizona sunset overlook- ing a horse stable. Some of my favorite places to go in Arizona are hid- den gems including Meadview, which gives you views that are untouch- able beauty and Havasu Falls down in the Grand Canyon. These places take me to the most inner peace I’ve felt. It’s also where I’m able to clear my head and write a lot of music.

I read your bio, and you love giving back to your community. Share some of the projects that you’re working on, for your com- munity?

Giving back has always been a huge part of my life - even before mu- sic I found ways to give back. In 2010 I got a message from one of my best friends growing up saying, “mom has cancer,” and I knew we had to do something to help. So I got together with friends and started Denises Day in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Denise sadly passed away before the second event but we knew we had to keep it going, and now since 2010, we have raised over $300,000 locally for anyone fighting that ultimate fight.

You’re so talented, your ballad songs are tear shedding, and then you turn around and bring on a high energy Garth Brooks style of bar room songs. I haven’t seen you LIVE yet, but If I come to one of your shows. What can I expect from a Matt Farris show? What are you working on right now, and what is on the horizon?

Thank you so much for that, I hope to see you and everyone at a show soon. We are a very high energy band that brings a party to the stage every show, from covers of Johnny Cash to Metallica and all of our originals. Our show is for sure one of kind and we hope everyone can make it out to a show soon. HWY 89 Jose Estrada Shari Rowe Bellamy Brothers
