Bethell has already accomplished a lot in baseball and basketball at just 17 years old, but he still wants to achieve more feats and earn more awards. Bethell expressed his goals for his senior season in baseball and basketball.

“In baseball, I want to earn all-conference, all-district and all- state honors,” Bethell said. “I want to win a conference champion- “For basketball, I want to have a winning record and make many team improvements from last year. I think we have the pieces to drastically improve from last season, and that is my main goal — to help my team win and become better.”
Being successful and ambitious aren’t just two adjectives that describe Bethell athletically — they also do academically. “I have maintained a 4.1 GPA all four years of high school while tak- ing honors courses and balancing two sports,” Bethell said. “Last fall, I was inducted into the FHS Chapter of the National Honor Soci- ety. I have also participated in FHS Academic Week (GPA of 3.75 or All the fantastic things Bethell has done at Fulton tie into the lega- cy he hopes to leave behind when he graduates this spring. “I want to be remembered as the guy who constantly hustled, al- Bethell said. “I feel that the many life lessons I have learned through my sports career have set me up to be successful in life. I hope that the friendships and relationships I have made stay strong even after high school.”
High school won’t be the end of the road for Bethell’s academic and athletic pursuits. The Fulton senior shared what his plans are after graduating from FHS. “After high school, I plan to attend a four-year college and pursue a degree in sports medicine,” Bethell said. “I would also love to continue my baseball career.”
