“Ben Conrad is a competitor through and through,” said Capital City head soccer coach Joel Henley. “He is the kind of player that all coach- es want on their team. He wants to win more than anything.” Ben and the Cavaliers tied a school record by winning 15 games this past season, just the second winning season in six years of varsity play. Capital City was voted the top seed in the district tour-  A two-year captain for Cavaliers soccer, Ben is a leader. As the youngest of three kids in the family, he’s also had other great examples in his life. Older sister Bailey is earning her MD at The Ohio State University, while brother Blake is completing his Masters in ac- counting at Mizzou, after cheering on the Tigers in his spare time. “Having an older brother is where I get my drive to compete. I  he showed no mercy. I never really won. However, this helped me whether I knew it back then or not. Striving to beat my brother not only made me a better athlete, but gave me a purpose for sports.” Growing up, Ben tried about everything, from basketball to baseball, wrestling, track and cross country. But soccer ended up being his game. “Trying a variety of sports growing up really helped me in two
