J.C.’S TRAIL MIX
Who was your teen crush? My wife – we started dating in middle school. We have been together ever since, I am glad she puts up with me.
My favorite hobby is: I love decorating my house for Christmas. My friends and family call me Clark Griswold…putting up lights for others…helped me pay for college.
What was your favorite toy as a child? I would just get old appliances and take them apart. I was a weird kid.
What is your favorite holiday? Christmas – it was so special to me because my family always made it a magical time. My dad would let me skip a day of school to help him put up our Christmas lights. What was enjoyable was spending time with him. My mom would and still does make the inside of their house like a winter wonderland. I still love to see it to this day.
Do you collect anything? Sadly, yes – Christmas lights.
J.C. Airington, CPA, a tax accountant with Ancel Airington & Associates in Edmond, Oklahoma, believes the best is yet to come. Te City Rescue Mission volunteer says he has tons of ideas to improve himself and his community. His favorite movie quote perfectly sums his attitude, “I just try to live every day as if I’ve deliberately come back to this one day, to enjoy it, as if it was the full final day of my extraordinary, ordinary life.”
Airington joined his family business in
January 2007. “My uncle has been preparing tax
returns since the 70s and I’m proud to have helped this practice continue to thrive in new tax environments,” he said. A member for four years, Airington has
served on the OSCPA’s Young Accounting Professionals (YAP) Committee and is currently serving on the Small Firm Practitioners Committee and is a board member for Edmond Parks and Recreation. Te Southern Nazarene University graduate also served on the Student Board of Directors for the SNU Business School and was a four-year honoree of the Central States Football League Academic All-Conference, a 2009 NAIA Academic All-American and a member of the Delta Mu Delta National Business Honor Society. Although he would be humbled if asked, he has probably saved many marriages with his classes and has given parents the tools to get out of debt and start planning for their children’s futures.” Te future, for Airington, is now. “I am always looking to achieve more
every day and look for new opportunities. I try to live each day to the fullest potential,” Airington said. “I hope that going forward I let the Lord guide my path and lead me to achievements he wants for his kingdom.”
