$21,500 in scholarships was awarded to 21 outstanding students for 2015. Tis year, AGC CEF received a record-breaking submissions of almost 40 applications – double the number received in 2014. Te top scholarship awarded was $2,500, followed by two $1,500 scholarships, 14 $1,000 schol- arships, and four $500 scholarships. Te scholarship recipients and their schools are listed below.
$2,500 Scholarship Recipient Evan Albright is a Navy veteran and a Construction Management major at CSU Sacramento.
$1,500 Scholarship Recipients Abraham Espandas is a National Guard veteran and a Construction Engineering Management major at CSU Long Beach.
Dominic Nelson is a Construction Management major at California Baptist University.
$1,000 Scholarship Recipients Hardy Hsu is a journeyman carpenter for the Carpenters Training Council Northern California.
Justin KleinSmid and Jackie Soto are Civil Engineering majors at San Jose State University.
Jimmy Bryars and Robert Cayle Greiser are Construction Management majors at CSU Chico.
Brittany Vermillion is a Construction Management and Civil Engineering major at CSU Chico.
Angelica Figueroa, Tomas Michael Johnston, Nic Cooper, and Yuri Rodriguez are Construction Management majors at CSU Sacramento.
