ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR DONNY THOMPSON
As the Executive Director of Mom2Mom, an initiative she started in 2020, Kirstan Knipple has diapered over 350 babies, fed 150 and provided more than 500 hygiene items to women in need. She comes to the services she brings with relatability and understanding, never shying away from sharing her own personal stories of hope with clients she serves. Having needed help herself, she off ers care and certainty when people truly need it. Although her heart is to support families in need of diapers, wipes, formula and hygiene products, no other need feels too vast or small for her to step right in to assist. She has such an ability to network clients with services outside of those she provides through her understanding of how resources in Culpeper and surrounding counties are established. She has such a strong desire for people to be taken care of, physically and emotionally.
Donny has grown as a local business by word of mouth over the last 2 years tremendously. He does it all from the books, scheduling, talking to customers, working on the vehicles, and so much more behind the scenes. Donny moved from an 1,800-square-foot shop to a shop over 8,000-square-foot. His team has grown and has added to the list of repairs and equipment needed to become an actual one stop shop. From a young age, his grandfather owned a gas station ans automotive shop in Warrenton. This is where Donny picked up and found his love for the trade. Over the years, he has built a reputable reputation, through a ton of struggle, stress, and believing failure is not an option. Donny is always giving back to the community. Donating when asked, helping those that need their vehicle but need an extension of payment. Things that he doesn’t have to do, but has the heart and care to be so giving. Always thinking of way to be better and off er more to his customers
