In early December, Culpeper Parks and
Recreation cut a ribbon to open its new fi eldhouse at the Culpeper Sports Complex as Culpeper Parks and Recreation Director Andrew Hardy addressed an eager crowd. Following Hardy’s enthusiastic remarks,
Culpeper Board of Supervisors Chairman Gary Deal, an advocate for the project, exclaimed that this fi eldhouse will “enrich the lives of residents for years to come.” T e 17,000-square-foot building
contains a full-size multi-use gymnasium with a basketball court, an aerobics studio, classrooms, equipment storage areas and offi ces for the parks department. “Since the Culpeper Sports Complex
