Sports tourism benefi cial to Culpeper Culpeper County is an increasingly


desirable destination for athletic tourism. Recent development and improvement to recreation opportunities, parks and facilities make it an ideal destination. In the last year, Culpeper County Parks


and Recreation constructed a brand new fi eld house facility, added lights to its sports complex, new pickleball courts and soon will add a community pool. “T e county’s recent investment in


recreational improvements benefi t more than just our local youth and adult park goers,” said Director of Culpeper County Parks and Recreation Andrew Hardy. “T ese improvements enable the department to recruit high-caliber state and national tournaments in an extremely competitive environment, thus supporting the county’s sports tourism initiative.” Sports tourism, while providing
