teaching style of nearly all the early instructors. My memory becomes a blur when it comes to the tradition- al Wednesday luncheon speaker. I was always under pressure for that speaker to draw high ratings. Over 15 years or so at IAAM, I booked hundreds of speakers. The higher priced ones were often motivation-        booked was for that luncheon. My memory fades. Over the years I became jaundiced to all those mo- tivational principles for the good life and cannot summon up a single name or face, but I do vaguely remember this tall middle-aged wom- -  majorette trying to catch the baton at the Friday night football game, holding us spellbound from her perch on the edge of the Glessner Auditorium stage.
