Brian Jaasko Leads DLF North American Wholesale and Production Business DLF has announced the promotion of Brian Jaasko to senior vice president, wholesale & production for DLF’s North America business unit. Jaasko is now responsible for the overall strategic direction, growth, and development of the wholesale and production functions and teams across the
U.S. and Canada including wholesale and export sales, grower services, operations, and seed enhancement. It is a new and critical role for DLF that brings a North American-level strategy and focus to its wholesale and production activities. “Having this leadership scope is essential to reach our collective growth objectives and position DLF as a true leader in the North American and global seed industries,” said Neil Douglas, executive vice president, DLF North America. Reporting to Neil Douglas, who leads DLF’s newly aligned North America business unit, Jaasko will work closely with his counterparts including Dan Foor, senior vice president, distribution, and Chuck Fagin, vice president, consumer products. Jaasko has over 30 years of seed industry experience, encompassing a variety of disciplines and progression within KWS, Bayer Crop Science, and most recently with Smith Seeds. He joined DLF in February 2022 to head its seed enhancement strategy and construction of DLF’s new seed enhancement facility in Oregon. In July, he took on the added responsibility of the strategic direction and execution for all of Oregon's operations as director, Oregon operations & seed enhancement.
Landmark Seed Company Adds to Its Staff Landmark Seed Company has hired Jacob Metzger as an Account Manager. Metzger grew up in Oregon, surrounded by grass seed farms and production agriculture, which helped him learn the processes required to grow grass seed crops from an early age.
In 2021, Jacob earned a bachelor's degree in Agricultural and Food Business Management from Oregon State University. For the past two years, Jacob has been a member of the Pratum Seed production team, where he worked with growers to ensure high-quality seed is delivered timely to the end user.
Jacob also spent the last two years involved with the Oregon Seed Association (OSA), where he continues to deepen his professional development. Jacob is looking forward to the next stage of his career. “Landmark produces high-quality products, and I am grateful

and proud to be a part of such an elite team,” said Metzger. Jacob is married to his wonderful wife Elena, and they have a nine-month-old daughter.
Syngenta Professional Solutions Welcomes New Team Members Syngenta recently announced the appointment of two new territory managers and one technical service representative across its golf, lawn care and aquatics businesses. Tese individuals will support Professional Solutions customers and distributors in the West, Midwest and Northeast. Jordan Brazinski has been appointed the territory manager for western Pennsylvania, western New York, and West Virginia, where he will support customers in the turf market. Brazinski joins Professional Solutions from Syngenta NK Seeds, where he served as a
developmental sales representative. Brazinski began his career with Syngenta in June 2022 after graduating from Southern Illinois University and interning with Syngenta in 2021. Tracy Tudor has been appointed the territory manager for Indiana and northwest Ohio. Tudor received a Bachelor of Science in agronomy and turfgrass science and Master of Science in agronomy from Purdue University. Before joining Syngenta, Tudor was a co-owner, operator, and lawn care
specialist at lawn companies in Indiana. He also worked at FMC Corporation as a market specialist, then as a key customer manager for the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to starting his career in the turf industry, he served as an intelligence analyst with the U.S. Army. In his new role, Tudor will work with customers and distributors in the golf, lawn care and aquatics industries. Ron Townsend has been named the Western technical service representative for the turf and ornamental businesses. Townsend completed his Bachelor of Science in turfgrass science from Te Ohio State University and completed his Master
of Science in plant pathology from the University of Wisconsin where he studied under Paul Koch, PhD. He spent two years as a second assistant superintendent at the Exmoor Country Club in Highland Park, Illinois, and six years at the Chicago District Golf Association, first as a manager then director of turfgrass research. He then joined SePRO Corporation as the Midwest technical sales specialist for two years. In April 2022, he joined Syngenta Professional Solutions in Canada as technical lead. In his new role, Townsend will provide technical support to turf managers and professional ornamental growers
