(PST-5SQB) is another tall fescue variety to make Virginia Tech University’s list of promising cultivars in 2023 along with Maryland’s Certified Sod Production promising list. The disease resistance package on this variety is strong versus a wide variety of pathogen pressures including brown patch, Pythium blight, typhula blight, pink patch, and red thread. Monument is proven in maintaining quality in shaded conditions and in drought in comparison to other tall fescue cultivars. Along with elite performance, Monument showcases aesthetics that professionals desire including turf uniformity and fine leaf texture.

(Schedonorus arundinaceus) is a traffic tolerant tall fescue that demonstrates great turf quality under all management levels. Developed with excellent resistance to gray leaf spot and brown patch and with high summer stress tolerance, SR 8700 is a survivor. The dark green color and high density shown in the 2018 tall fescue NTEP trials enable it to perform well. SR 8700 also has high seedling vigor and rapid establishment to make it superior for new stands or to repair damage.
