While her individual numbers are big, playing on back-to-back state championship teams is even more impressive. “I think the joy of my sport is seeing my team succeed and mo- lot of hard work into playing our sport and to see success come out of it is an amazing feeling.”
And what a feeling it was to hit two home runs in Fatima’s 2022 state title game. One of the wildest softball championship games ever played,

innings. The Fatima faithful were loud and proud. “When you hear the crowd cheering for you and want- ing you to do something great it is the most amazing feeling in the world. That support is like nothing else in the world.”
It takes a community to win. “There are so many people that have supported us and want us to be successful. For example, there are people in the community that have let me use their batting cages in the winter. It’s things like this that have impacted me and helped me. Also we have great community support at our games. They show up for us.” Kinzey is an elite player, not only in this state but among the best in the country. Playing travel ball with Impact Caymol Premier 18u, made up of players from New York, Arizona, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina and Alabama, Kinzey spent the summer playing in Las Vegas, Georgia, Florida, California and Kansas City.
