A new era is beginning at Lincoln University! The world’s most popular sport is returning to LU. The Blue Tigers will play soccer this fall. Lincoln men’s soccer re- turns after more than 20 years without the sport. This will be the  New head coach Leah Stringer has been recruiting players from around the world since taking the job earlier this year. String- er has been coaching soccer since 2011, the past four years as an assistant coach at   from Toronto, Canada.


Carolina grew up in a soccer family with two sisters, while her mom and dad immigrated from Brazil to Canada.

“I come from a strong family-oriented environment. Coming from an immigrant family we learn to depend on each other.” As a Brazilian, her dad, Adiel, has been surrounded by soccer his entire life. He has passed on his passion and knowledge of the game to his daughters as a coach.


“You may be able to achieve goals on your own, but with the help and support of others you’ll be able to achieve much more beyond your expectations.”


While athletic scholarships in Canada are few and far between,  gotten the best of both worlds coming to America, receiving a col- lege education and an athletic scholarship.
