Featured Athlete /// Isaiah Franklin, Capital City High School


Family, football, hurdles and relays. Isaiah Franklin is not only a talented athlete, he’s also stepped up as a true leader in Capital City High School sports. A returning starting safety and receiv- er for the Cavaliers football team, Isaiah   and receiver. He doesn’t miss a snap on defense either and will likely be on most special teams.


Isaiah begins his fourth season as a Cavalier. Along with head coach  He’s also been successful on the track, as a Central Missouri Activities Conference cham- pion in the 300M hurdles and winning a sev- enth-place medal in the same event at state. “Sports have taught me responsibility,” Isaiah said, “what it means to be a man, how to keep pushing through adversity, tough times and unfairness, how to be a leader and understand everyone you’re around and  Isaiah played a key role in Capital City’s best season last year, in 
