EXPERIENCE SAN DIEGO
EXPLORE Gaslamp Quarter
Located in downtown San Diego within walking distance of the InterContinental Hotel, the Gaslamp Quarter National Historic District is an area of restored late-19th- and early 20th-century Victorian buildings. A trendy neighborhood with shops, restaurants and galleries, it attracts tourists as well as locals. The Gaslamp Quarter covers less than 20 blocks and runs approximately from Broadway to San Diego Bay.
Coronado Ferry
Sail across the bay between San Diego and Coronado and enjoy Coronado’s collection of shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Departs every hour on the hour from Broadway Pier from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Tickets are $7 each way. USS Midway Museum
Visit the USS Midway Museum that more than 60 exhibits with a collection of 29 restored aircrafts! 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., last admission at 4:00 p.m.
Tickets are $26. Balboa Park
Balboa Park encompasses a 1,400-acre site with historical buildings, numerous museums, gardens, and green space. Among the highlights of the park are the botanical gardens and lily pond, the Museum of Us, the San Diego Natural History Museum, the Timken Museum of Art, and the famous San Diego Zoo. Even if you never go into a building, the park is simply a beautiful place.
San Diego Zoo
The world-famous San Diego Zoo is a non-profi t wildlife sanctuary home to more than 3,500 rare and endangered animals representing more than 650 species and subspecies, and a prominent botanical collection with more than 700,000 exotic plants.
Harbor Cruises
Learn about the city from local guides and enjoy a cruise on the bay. This professionally narrated tour takes you under the Coronado Bridge, past military ships, waterfront landmarks and marine life, for an up-close, in depth look at San Diego’s scenic beauty and fascinating history.

GOLF
In addition to the FEDA shotgun golf tournament on Sept. 20, 2022, at Torrey Pines Golf Course, Balboa Park Golf Course is another public course option for attendees. Visit www.

GETTING AROUND
Taxi and rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are available. The San Diego Metropolitan
Transit System has several bus and train stops near InterContinental Hotel. A stop for the San Diego
Trolley’s Green and Orange lines are available at the Santa Fe Depot, located one block east of the hotel. The trolley stop for the San Diego International Airport is Middletown Station, a seven-minute ride from the hotel.
Electric scooters are available throughout the city.
