have many years of combined service and have anchored our Front Office so well. Both are leaving us, as Sheri is retiring April 30 and Susan is head- ed back to her hometown of Greens- boro, NC, to work in her dad’s prop- erty management business. I want to honor both Sheri and Susan in my article this month and also tell you about the new staff we have hired in

ur Front Office at Bonclarken is the hub of much activ- ity. Phone calls, emails, on-

1997, Barbara Sherrill (Bonclarken’s former Office Administrator) contact- ed her about an open position in our Front Office, and she started work for us shortly thereafter. Sheri shared that “being a life-long ARP and hav- ing attended youth retreats and con- ferences, I sensed a calling to work at Bonclarken. I came to this job with knowledge of the conference center, which was a great help. We ARPs are one big family, and it has been a joy interacting with so many friends over the years.” If you have made a reservation for

Synod or Family Bible Conference, or called the office for a general inquiry, or come by our front desk, you most likely have met Sheri. She plans to

travel and enjoy her artwork in her retirement. We thank her so much for her 24 years of dedicated service. Susan is from Covenant Fellow-

ship ARP Church and graduated from Erskine in 2010. She worked in our Front Office for two summers while at Erskine before earning her Master’s degree from the University of West Georgia. We were so blessed in 2015 when she agreed to return to us for a full-time position in our Front Office. She has overseen camp registration, guest group communications, indi- vidual reservations, and many, many other duties. Susan shared that “it has been a pleasure to serve the Lord while working at Bonclarken over the past six years. I am thankful for the new skills I’ve learned and for the challenges and celebrations that have brought the Bonclarken staff together as a family. This is a wonderful place to work and live and I will treasure my memories of my time on staff.” We are excited to be welcoming

three new staff into the Front Office. Michelle Vaughn is from Gastonia, NC, attends First Gastonia ARP, and is a recent UNC-Charlotte graduate. Laura Taylor is from Columbia, SC, is a recent Winthrop University gradu- ate, and has been working at Camp Canaan in Rock Hill, SC. Amanda Carnley is from Marianna, Florida, and a recent graduate of the Baptist College of Florida. She has a sister with special needs and has accompa- nied her family on their annual trip to Bonclarken for Joni and Friends Family Retreat every year since 2011. We are so blessed to have these ladies join our team. Sheri and Susan combined have 32

We are so blessed to have Lynn Rogers lead- ing our Front Office team and she will be very busy training our new staff as well as getting us ready for what we pray is a busy summer season. Godspeed to Sheri and Susan in

this next chapter of their lives and we thank them for their service to Bonclarken.?
