Research and Development District (RaDD)” Te IQHQ Research and Development District (RaDD) is a groundbreaking 1.7-million-square-foot life sciences campus that redefines what’s possible in urban mixed-use development. Located along San Diego’s waterfront, RaDD transforms six city blocks into
a thriving innovation hub, combining advanced laboratory space, flexible office environments, retail, event venues, and over five acres of accessible public parks and green space. Turner Construction was the contractor on the project that delivered five distinct high-performance buildings featuring panoramic bay views. Below the surface, RaDD houses a massive three-level, 2,000-stall subterranean garage. Built just 73 feet from the ocean, the garage is supported by one of the region’s most complex dewatering systems.
