GLEBE FARMS Through hard work and the endurance of generations, Glebe Farms encompasses more than 2,000 acres in Culpeper County. Beginning in 1870, Glebe started as a 450-acre grain and cattle farm owned by the Swan family. After the passing of J.A. Swan Sr., the new generation was able to preserve the farm by turning it into a thriving dairy operation. By 2009, as dairy farms throughout the county were waning, the dynamic spirit of the Swan family transitioned the farm to cultivating corn, beans, and hay — sustaining their legacy by evolving their product. Through the Swan family’s dedication to the farm and its way of life, 6 generations have enriched the Culpeper community.
