workforce has been a mosaic of farmers, blue-collar laborers, white-collar professionals and resilient entrepreneurs. Diversifi ed industries, from cabinet manufacturers to fabricated metal products to agriculture and transportation, have off ered employment opportunities to many — cutting out the commute and creating a high local quality of life. Now, Culpeper is adding data centers
to this mix. Four could be built in the Culpeper Technology Zone, a 690-acre campus that consolidates fi ve incentivized tech zones into one area. Meanwhile, along Route 3 in Stevensburg, Amazon is building a data center of its own. For Culpeper’s workforce, this
creates big needs — and opportunities. Skilled workers will be in demand to build new roads, power substations and operate the data centers themselves. Luckily, our community has generations
