INT 110 International Engines I. Basic International Truck engine systems are the core components taught in this course. Participants will learn and discuss related component operations and their specific functions pertaining to engine performance. Activities will include engine rebuild, inspection, repair, and maintenance. 3 credit hours.


INT 120 Pre-Delivery and Preventive Maintenance Inspection. A study of the procedures used to inspect all of the systems of International trucks prior to customer delivery as well as how to perform maintenance inspection and service. 3 credit hours.


INT 130 Internship I. This sponsored internship at an International Truck service center or repair shop provides students with on-the-job training supervised by a skilled mentor or journeyman technician based on an internship agreement with the associated International dealer. 3 credit hours.


INT 140 International Engines II. This course will concentrate on advanced International Truck engine systems including fuel systems with emphasis on diesel engine components and electronic engine control. Instruction includes the use of the latest International-approved test equipment utilized in engine diagnostics. The course also includes instruction on International Truck mechanical and electronic governor control systems. Prerequisite: INT 110 with a grade of “C” or better. 3 credit hours.


INT 150 International Electrical and Electronic Systems I. A study of the basic principles of magnetism and electricity, basic circuitry, and the use of test equipment from an International Truck perspective. Electrical accessories, electronic controls, and computers are included. Included in this course are schematic and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) symbol reading. 3 credit hours.


INT 160 Internship II. This sponsored internship at an International Truck service center or repair shop provides students with on-the-job training supervised by a skilled mentor or journeyman technician based on an internship agreement with the associated International dealer. 3 credit hours.


INT 170 International Electrical and Electronic Systems II. This course is a continuation of instruction provided on the electrical and electronics found on International trucks. Discussions pertaining to component and chassis computer systems including multiplexing will be included. Laboratory exercises will include the use of test equipment to identify malfunctions, determine root cause, and correct the malfunction of electronic circuits. Prerequisite: INT 150 with a grade of “C” or better. 3 credit hours.


INT 180 International Heating and Air Conditioning Systems. This course teaches heating and air conditioning systems used on International trucks. Topics and practices will include environmental safety, refrigerant recycling, recharging systems, and climate control. (Must pass the reclamation license test during the first week of class). 3 credit hours.


INT 200 International Suspension and Steering Systems. This course provides a study of the various types of International Truck steering systems and the advantages of each. Operating principles, testing, and repair of power steering and alignment are discussed and practiced. Theory and principles of wheel balancing are discussed. 3 credit hours.


INT 230 Internship III. This sponsored internship at an International Truck service center or repair shop provides students with on-the-job training supervised by a skilled mentor or journeyman technician based on an internship agreement with the associated International dealer. 3 credit hours.


INT 240 International Brake Systems. This course covers International Truck braking systems including diagnosis and troubleshooting of the air and hydraulic systems. Adjustments, service, and repair of brake systems will be performed. 3 credit hours.


INT 250 International Drive Train Systems I. This course teaches International Truck drive train service, operation, and safety. The principles and operation of clutches and torque convertor coupling systems and standard transmission service and repair are emphasized. 3 credit hours.
