Laugh. Sometimes it helps to look atk a situation and just laugh. If thatf


fails, read the jokes that your uncle’s cousin’s


best friend is e-mailing you three times a week. Pick ak comedy next time you go to the movies or surf channels.


Take up yoga or tai chi. These disciplines have a restorative effect and are sure burnout busters.


Set boundaries. Don’t overdo it with obligations or commitments. Learn how to say “no” to appeals for your time. Being overextended leads to feeling pressured. If you decline some requests, you will be freer to engage in activities that help you relax and feel more grounded.


Get plenty ofy sleep. Aside from experiencing that “well-


rested” feeling, getting enough sleep will increase your concentration, problem-solving abilities, productivity and overall mood in general. It’s also good for your heart!


Burnout can creep up on you slowly. Watch for the warning signs and stay aheady and employer will thank you.k
