EDUCATION AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

providing scholarship support to hard- working students who are pursuing an education and career in construction. Te scholarships are available to students enrolled in either a certified training, pre-apprenticeship or appren- ticeship program as well as those attending a two- or four-year degree program at a college or university. Tis year AGC CEF released the

first Craft & Technical School Schol- arship application to help and support more individuals in the trades, giving us the opportunity to assist many applicants in apprenticeship programs. We also launched the FemPower Construction Scholarship, thanks to a generous grant provided by the Teichert Foundation. Te recipients will receive special scholarship funds, participate in a special mentoring training program and are paired with a female construction manager/executive who will provide them with on-going mentorship. We continue to support our 12 active

AGC Student Chapters by providing each chapter scholarship support to send six students (each) to the AGC Annual Conference, where they took advantage of a number of industry based trainings and networking opportunities as well as an AGC Student Chapter Job Fair. Trough a partnership with ehs Inter- national, Inc. all of our AGC Student Chapter Members have access to “real- world” industry webinar training to be better prepared when they enter the workforce.

Support & Sustain The Construction Workforce

Te AGC CEF is 100% funded

through charitable donations and grant funds, so on-going fundraising efforts are critical to our ability to maintain and grow services. Earlier this year we released our new Annual Sponsorship Program, which allows companies to customize their benefits that best suit their company needs. On behalf of the AGC CEF Board

of Directors and staff, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to those individuals and companies that

have shown their support for CEF’s important construction workforce development work. If you’d like to show your support for AGC CEF programs

and services and would like to invest in our future workforce please contact Erin Volk, VP of Workforce and Operations at volke@agc-ca.org. 
