Tis joint event is hosted and supported by both groups to gather local industry profes- sionals for a fun day at the beach. More than just fun, the CLC

Tey’ve held some exciting events, including their annual Cornhole Competition and Tournament in July at the River’s End Café in Seal Beach, which drew a record 125 attendees. Tis year they invited student chapter members and held a friendly competition on who could build the best cornhole box. “Everyone building their own boxes is a great way to engage participants and gives the event a heathy sense of ownership,” said Quintin. Te SoCal group has seen great


expansion year over year and is looking forward to their upcoming working weekend in downtown LA scheduled for November 3-4. Tis event will feature special presentations, a project site tour at the Regional Connector Project, and much more. Northern California CLC also continues to grow rapidly with some

AGC of California is proud to


announce it will be the host of the 2017 CLC Construction Leadership Conference with AGC America! Thanks to the hard work of the Statewide Steering Committee, the California chapter won the bid and will be the ho-host of the leadership conference in fall of 2017 (date TBD). The CLC Leadership Development Conference brings together emerging construction leaders from across the country in various construction sectors to network, learn and share. This unique event offers the opportunity to connect with fellow emerging leader construction professionals from across the country, develop their leadership skills, and discuss CLC best practices and how to grow local CLC groups.

CLC Statewide Steering committee is rounding its first year of inception, led by chair, Clinton Myers, Myers & Sons Construction. Te committee is comprised of 10 ambitious young professionals looking to grow the CLC across California. While recruitment is an important


goal of the committee, the main purpose is to provide structure and best practices for regional CLC Councils, inform and engage new student chapter members, monitor growth and relay feedback to the AGC California Executive Committee. As of September, there were over 180 active CLC Members in AGC of California, and growing. So we’ll ask again, are your future
