tidbits and trends Change How You Pray
In the Bible it says, “Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession” (Psalm 2:8). So, when we pray, why do we not pray bigger? According to life and talent strategist Dirk Swart, there are four reasons we should ask for more:
1. God’s nature is to love, and He loves to give.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
2. Asking God for more honors God’s power.
“He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the lands of other nations.” (Psalm 111:6)

3. God has unlimited resources.
“Te earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” (Psalm 24:1)
4. Being content and being satisfied are not the same.
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look aſter orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” (James 1:27)
So, what big things will you ask of God?
Our culture is all about the finish line. Industries and experts set the rules and rewards. Don’t let that distract or deter you. Te bigger question is are you running the race you were born to run — even if there’s no path, no cheering crowd, and no clear end point?
