RECAP OF THE ETP TURF EXPO 2018, HELD IN TROIA-COMPORTA, PORTUGAL
ETP’s golf tournament was held at Troia Golf, ranked as the 17th best golf course in continental Europe.
Te European Turfgrass Producers held their 2018 Turf Expo in Portugal from October 24 to October 26, 2018. Sod producers, equipment manufacturers, golf course industry personnel, and others all traveled to the west coast of Portugal for three days of events including a golf tournament, trade show, seminars, and a field day.
The event began with a golf tournament and lunch held at Troia Golf, a Robert Trent Jones design ranked by Golf World in 2018 as the 17th best golf course in all of continental Europe. Twelve teams of four golfers each were paired for an 18-hole tournament before having lunch in the clubhouse and heading to the ETP general assembly.
Tis was followed by educational seminars from a variety of international speakers covering a wide range of topics on turfgrass management, new technologies, the environment, planting techniques, irrigation, construction, sustainability, and more.
