Focus on Our Churches Christian Fellowship Chapel

Winnipeg, Manitoba Timothy Harris, Pastor https://www.cfc-wpg.org

God has been faithful to our congre- gation. The pastoral candidate we mentioned in our last report is now a reality in our congregation. We are happy to announce that Timothy and Kristin Harris have come to teach and serve in our midst. We welcomed them officially on October 1, praying over them as a couple.

CBC Omaha is on the move. We purchased a new church facility. The design phase used up our sum- mer and fall. Construction begins in January, and we expect to open the doors in August of 2022. The move is called Forward In Faith. Our purpose is to “Maximize our Eternal Impact.”

The next few months were dedicat- ed to getting to know one another. Part of this endeavor included a “Bind Us Together” evening, where we shared our gifts and talents with each other, focusing on the faith- fulness of God who kept us together despite the pandemic. One thing we did during the time of Covid sepa- ration was to collaborate together and contribute squares to form a quilt, which one of our members then “bound together” for us. How fitting it was to unveil the quilt at this service.

For the past several years CBC has had a tradition of gathering togeth- er as a church family on the second Friday in December for “A CBC Christmas.” This musical night features a hot chocolate bar, Christ- mas goodies, music from various groups within our church family, and is wrapped up with a Christmas carol sing-along! Invitations are made available so our church family can invite neighbors or co-work- ers. We also have a long-standing tradition of celebrating Christmas Eve together, complete with a candle-lighting time while singing Christmas carols.

Our podcast is called “Community Bible Cast” hosted by our worship pastor, Tim Gallegos, and children’s pastor, Seth Guthrie. We have epidsodes covering topics like youth ministries, Awana, the functions of a search comittee and conversa- tions with church members doing ministry. Check it out at : https:// cbcomaha.org/cbcast.

We livestream every Sunday at 9:30am (central time) on youtube. Check it out here: https://cbcoma- ha.org/watch-now. Our livestream is viewable anytime on-demand after Sunday services.

We also produce a monthly news- letter, "The Link." The purpose of

"The Link" is to connect people with events. Connecting links makes a chain ... community! Our newsletter features one news article, a big event for the month, or something that has happened with our move that needs to be commu- nicated to the church family. The other main feature of "The Link" is the monthly calendar ... a great re- minder of all the month’s activities.

Wolf Point, Montana Arch Woodstock, Pastor

Pastor Arch and Sandy came the first of July to be part of the church family and community. Pastor began a study, “Do We Really Know God?” We are worshipping together on Sunday morning presently but folks would like to have a separate time for a Bible Study.

Jim Wiens was able to spend a Sunday morning sharing with the church and dinner afterward with some folks.

There was much scraping and then the paint went on as we gave the church some much needed painting of the trim work. It was such a blessing as many folks stopped by and helped out. Church looks crisp and clean.

The ladies of the church provided a lovely “Harvest Celebration” meal as the church celebrated the har- vest. Bob and Carolyn Lee (retired global partners) were visiting and it was a joy to have Carolyn as our guest pianist.

Winter is right around the frigid corner, Pastor Arch will be sharing topical sermons for each month through February.
