MINISTR Y P ARTNERS Seek First the Kingdom
Camp Teaches that Jesus is the Light of the World byJON MCCOMISH
When we hear the words "Bible camp,” a few common words likely pop into our minds such as: enthusiasm, fun, friendship, late nights, games, good food, singing, and of course the presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. For many of us it brings us back to some special memories we made while at camp. At Fisher Bay Bible Camp (FBBC), we strive to engage youth and children of all ages, and to provide an enriching camp experience. While having fun is a goal of ours, our main God-given goal is to make much of Christ by presenting the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ through our words and actions. What a cool opportunity camp is!
We live in a time where learning to adjust and adapt is essential. This past summer we were ex ted to hold two weeks of day camps. Day camps are not something we planned for, but as the s mmer unfold- ed this was the avenue that opened to u to bs to be ablebl to operate. Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Lake Winnipeg. It was estab- lished in 1948 by Jake and Adina Goertzen to reach the sur- rounding reserves (reservations) and communities. There are three reserves close by, making up the vast majority of the campers. It has been exciting to see how God has used this strategically located camp to reach people.
