P.T. Barnum, the man whose life was stylized in the movie musical The Greatest Showman, certainly understood that to produce “The Greatest Show on Earth” required a bit of magic in front of the curtain and a lot of hard work behind it to keep paying customers coming into the circus tent. Community association life is rarely magical but requires a great deal of hard work behind that metaphorical curtain to make things look good out front and ensure the association can run on a budget affordable to the community. Utilities like electricity are necessary to community association life, no matter the cost.
