This issue’s theme is inspired by the hit film The Greatest Showman, which retells the story of the larger-than-life entertainment pioneer Phineas Taylor Barnum, better known as “P.T.”
While P.T. Barnum may be most well-known for saying “there’s a sucker born every minute” (despite the fact that there’s no evidence he actually said this), our inspiration stems from the work of a man who, at age 60 started The Greatest Show on Earth.
Facing every obstacle imaginable, from financial pressure to critical outrage over his groundbreaking vision to have the figures in his wax museum “come alive,” Barnum persevered to realize his own bold vision that would define the Big Top for generations to come.
At CAI, we strive to provide social opportunities that allow us all to “come alive” and build stronger communities together through a lively exchange of ideas and shared good times. Mark your calendars and don’t miss our annual events:
CAI-IL Excellence Awards & Winter Gala
Each year we honor those who’ve gone above and beyond with the bold spirit to, as the song says, “take the world
Come Alive!
and redefine it” in mind, elevating those around them in the process. This spectacular event is usually held on a Friday in November. Join us for an unforgettable evening!
CAI Golf Outing
The CAI Golf Outing is a yearly favorite, with over 450 golfers in attendance last year. Whatever the weather, everyone enjoys this annual June day on the course. It’s a not-to-be missed day of fun and networking.
CAI Summer Social
All aboard the Spirit of Chicago for a fun-filled day cruise out on Lake Michigan, complete with a new theme every year and the opportunity to darty (day party!). Cruise with us every August, and we promise you’ll be “dreaming with your eyes wide open.”
